A local photographer wanted to do a promotional series showcasing environmental portraits. Austin is a big entertainment town and the rapid growth the city is experiencing is pushing out a lot of the old businesses—including many of the no frills bars that the capital city is famous for. Shooting in some of the old, classic haunts seemed like a fitting thing to do.
