Matt Mowat is a creative director, art director, and designer in Austin, Texas. Over the past 30 years his work has included national brand campaigns, Super Bowl spots, company launches, and just about anything else you can imagine. Matt has worked at agencies of all sizes—including his own branding shop—and even spent a short stint in the editorial world at Wired magazine in San Francisco.
In November, 2016 Matt joined Sherry Matthews Group, an agency solely dedicated to doing “good cause” work.
Matt’s work has been recognized nationally and internationally for creative excellence. A Cannes Gold Lion, several One Show gold pencils, numerous appearances in Communication Arts, ANDYs, ADDYs, a Kelly Award Finalist, Clios, multiple golds in the Society of Publication Designers Show and the San Francisco Show are among awards he can claim.
In his spare time Matt builds custom steel bicycles, rides 5,000 miles a year, and reads pretty much everything he can get his hands on. He still regrets selling his 1969 F-100 just because it didn’t have AC.
